I have been on many cruises, with several different lines. This cruise was just a big disappointment.
Embarkation
1 out of 5
We pre-booked a time to board the ship, it didn't matter. we waited hours and where herded like cattle!
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
2 out of 5
The food was very good, when you could get service. two to three hours for dinner. 20 minutes for a drink.
Onboard Activities
1 out of 5
Everywhere you went in public areas it was packed with people. Impossible to get a lounge chair or use the pool.
Entertainment
1 out of 5
We tried to book some shows on the second day and were told the shows were completely sold out for the entire cruise.
Children's Programs
I don't have kids
Service and Staff
2 out of 5
The staff was very polite and professional there simply wasn't enough. One cocktail server at the pool. No room stewards, just daily housekeeping that was the bare minimum. Sometime our cabin was not cleaned until the evening. The staff could not keep up with the number of passengers.
Ship Quality
2 out of 5
Too many specialty restaurants. There would be lines at the main dining room (an hour wait for a table!) and open table at the special restaurant that are quite frankly not that special. To many things taking up space on the deck, a racetrack, laser tag, mini golf and a water park, all while people just want to find a seat in the sun.
Cabin / Stateroom
1 out of 5
The cabin was fine except for the air conditioning. I constantly turned off. I think it may have been to conserve energy, but it made sleeping very uncomfortable.
Ship tip
Do no go on spring break. It was overcrowded and children were not properly supervised.
I was traveling with my sister and girl friends, I have to agree with all the above, we were in line for 90 minutes to get off the ship, they kept calling groups to disembark when the line was not moving.
We had the same issue with the Cabin AC and finally caught the cabin steward on Tuesday and he explained about how to work the AC.
I feel that the cruise was crowded and although the staff were great, they were extremely over worked.
Never cruise during spring break. Looks like this was your first cruise post-Covid. Lowering your expectations and being flexible are the keys to enjoying a cruise now.
