Review summary

Overall we enjoyed the vacation. Our suite was wonderful- nice to have a little space. We would of liked more "included" options. The ship looks like it would be perfect for an Alaska trip. We were only able to enjoy the pool on a day in Port when most people were gone. We are not early risers who race to the pool area and place our towels down to hold the chairs so we were out of luck. We were very excited to visit Bermuda again. The island and people were as beautiful as remembered. The only downside was it was a National holiday for 2 of the 3 days in Port. Most of Bermuda was closed for the holiday. Really wished the cruise would of disclosed this prior to booking or before the ports of call so we could plan accordingly. We only found on the first day, speaking with the locals. Missed opportunities we planned on because we had to shift our plans.

Embarkation

Fine, long lines through security as expected.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The specialty dining was great, especially the Teppanyaki. The main dining and buffet is mediocre. The salad bar and the noodles soup they had at lunch was pretty good. I would recommend going to the local for breakfast. If you want a burger and wings, go to the Local. I would recommend purchasing as many specialty dining as you can.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
We enjoyed the Spice H2o hot tub. We could usually find space. On sea days, the tub turned into a wave pool that was great. The main pool never had space. Too many people "holding" the chairs with towels so we never found a spot. The only time we did was on a port day we came back early. The observation deck was a beautiful place to relax.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
We enjoyed Elements, daily trivia in the atrium. We thought the entertainment could of been better, more accessible and more varied. There was one show we would of like to watch, but it was held in the atrium (too small).

Children's Programs

They didn't have a kids program and we didn't have a young child with us.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Everyone worked so hard and very friendly.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship had many spaces that were only used between the hours of 5pm to 9pm. Everything else seem crammed into the other spaces. The common areas were alway cleaned and maintained.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The size of the cabin was amazing. We did miss having a balcony, but the TV balcony was nice to view to give us an idea of the location, time of day and speed we were traveling. Wish they would of kept the screen on our last day. Woke up excited to see if we're in NY and it was blank.

Ship tip

Purchase many specialty dining meals. The complimentary food (buffet and main dining) was medicore for the most part.

Ports of call

Royal Naval Dockyard, West End, Bermuda

We played mini golfed, toured the museum and tried to shop. It was very crowded the day we went. It was very hot and humid so everyone was trying to get inside for air conditioning. We would of went to the beach as well if we had time.

Disembarkation

This went well. We were issued color coded luggage tags dependent on the airline flight times. We actually found a place to relax and wait by the Starbucks. We were off the ship by 10am, on the transfer bus.
