Had a fantastic time on Norwegian Joy! The staff and ship are incredible and there is so much to do, we simply couldn't do it all!
Embarkation

It was fine. Expect long line ups, but once onboard, expect 5 star service.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
Main dining was excellent, but the buffet was only ok. Teppanyaki was the highlight of our cruise! I don't think they were prepared to sail near full capacity (COVID shortages, transition from half to full capacity quickly, etc.), so they started to run out of staple alcohol items at lots of bars towards the end of the cruise (vodka, rum, tequila). The Waterfront bars, however, were always fully stocked, probably because they're the best kept secret on the ship! Beautiful outdoor bars overlooking the water located on both starboard and port sides of Deck 7 (or was it 8?).
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
Galaxy Pavilion, water slides, and go kart track were awesome! Try to go when there are no line ups (dinner time, port days, etc.).
Entertainment
4 out of 5
The main shows (Footloose & Elements) were great! The DJ for the pool and the Glow party was fantastic! The DJ (DJ Big Poppa) in the nightclub was horrendous.
Children's Programs
No kids

Great balcony room! Located starboard side and near forward elevators, which is key to getting around quickly. Love the USB ports built into bed lamps.
Ship tip
Arrive early to start enjoying your trip as soon as possible! Eat at the main dining rooms for overall better quality of food. You can easily swap your reservations to any show or specialty dining once onboard at any directory touch screen located by the elevators. Head to places like the water slides, go karts, and Galaxy Pavilion later during dinner when lines are low.
Close to Virginia Beach (20 minutes away; $45 taxi one way; $25 Uber one way). You can rent Lyme eScooters which is a great way to get around and see the local port town.
Renting eBikes at Pedego's was the highlight of our trip! We took the Free Norwegian ferry to St. George's, and Pedego is located steps away from where you exit the ferry. It is a fantastic way to get around the island. We were able to visit so many more places by renting these bikes! They are basically motorized bicycles with a throttle that allows you to go up to about 20-22 mph. Although we didn't go there, they had enough battery power that they could have taken us all the way to the city of Hamilton and back. And the staff, especially Michael, were fantastic and extremely helpful! https://pedegoelectricbikes.com/dealers/bermuda/
