Review summary

Overall we had a really good time with a few issues here and there. Nothing too major. Just wish communication was better. Beautiful scenery, good food, and relaxation makes for a really good trip, which is what we received.

Embarkation

1 out of 5
Slow and communication was lacking to say the least. Never experienced this type of delay on any other cruise.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Very good across the board. We loved Teppanyaki!

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
There were good activities onboard, but wish the layout in the pool area was a bit different. There was lots of shade and only 2 small pools. Mini golf was fun and the racetrack was neat, but did not ride.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Entertainment was really good! Comedians, magicians, and other shows were terrific.

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
There were some staff who were very helpful, but overall the communication was poor. Many times one staff person would day one thing and then we would hear different information from others. It did not seem like everyone was on the same page.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Very nice for the most part.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
We enjoyed our cabin. It had everything we needed. There was plenty of space in the bathroom.

Ship tip

Eat at Teppanyaki! Best restaurant on the ship.

Ports of call

San Pedro (Los Angeles), California

2 out of 5
Not much to do nearby.

Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

5 out of 5
Great place to visit. Stunning scenery, great snorkeling, and good food and shopping.

Mazatlan, Mexico

4 out of 5
Very neat town for the most part. We did not do an excursion, but ate a great little restaurant at a hotel called Casa Lucia. It was the best food we ate on the entire trip.

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico

4 out of 5
Great place to visit. The weather was perfect. Our excursion took us downtown, to a restaurant on the coast (south of PV), and back downtown to a tequila factory. The only downside was the long drive to the restaurant. However, we did enjoy it the food and the view.

Disembarkation

3 out of 5
Much better than embarkation, but still poor communication
