We had a great cruise and would do it again. The Joy was really a nice ship. We enjoyed pretty much everything.

Embarkation was the only bad thing about our experience. Two plus hours waiting for shuttle from LAX to Port and then Three plus hours standing in line waiting to board at the port.

We ate in three specialty restaurants and all three complimentary dining rooms. Also ate at the local and once at the buffet. The food and service everywhere was terrific! We enjoyed everything.
Onboard Activities

We used the pools mostly, and they were fine. Easy to find lounge chairs. Bar service at the pools was a little slow.
Entertainment

Elements and the Beatles shows were very good. Music in the Atrium was fun and all performers were entertaining. Cruise Director Roberto knew what he was doing but Romeo... not so much.

Our room steward greeted us by name every day and kept our cabin immaculate. Wait Staff took great care of us. They were well trained and friendly. Everyone on the ship was friendly.

Layout and design was typical and efficient. The Joy was immaculately clean. Actually spotless in every corner!
Cabin / Stateroom

Difficult to get in and out of closet but lots of storage space everywhere. Could use more outlets. Comfortable enough for two but I wouldn't want to try it with three.
Ship tip
Go with the flow, don't let little things diminish your vacation, and don't try to do so much that you exhaust yourselves.
We took a Deluxe Shoreline Cruise on a Catamaran. Fantastic to see lands end and lovers beach. Very relaxing. We felt like this was the best of our excursions.
