The cruise was great. The ship is a good size and is in good shape and very clean.  The crew worked very hard and were always friendly. The shows were very good. Lots of Cirque type entertainment which we really enjoyed. We were in a mini suite which has a larger bathroom with a tub. The food was our only complaint. Hit and miss. Other cruisers we talked to felt the same way. They had a poolside Bar-b-que every day. They had chicken, hamburgers, brats, hot dogs, tacos, pasta and many other items. Our best meal was Prime Rib served in O'Sheehans the last night. Their signature White Hot Party was fun!

I have cruised on several lines before.  This was my first Norwegian cruise.  I was completely impressed.  Every facet of the trip was positive.  I really enjoyed the freestyle dining.  It added to my enjoyment of the trip.  I will gladly choose Norwegian in the future.

The room was great, the food was mostly good, but the desserts were not good, over all it was a great experience to be able to relax with my family for a week without breaking the bank!

We had a Great get away. Small stateroom, great food, but Cafe seating difficulty. Entertainment was wonderful, and really family friendly. Horribly difficult to use stateroom wifi.

Thanks to Ian, our Delta Cruise Only travel consultant, our first cruise was the best ever! Ian helped us pick the perfect balcony stateroom which was situated perfectly in the middle of the ship close to all the action but very quiet and relaxing!

Good vacation at beautiful places. Good ship, good staff, interesting excursions. I have no american credit cards, so I had to make phone call to book cruise. It is not good; I recommend you to let international cardholders book cruises without making international calls.

I love the Jewel staff! They go out of there way to please you! The complimentary breakfast, lunch or dinner in the Tzar are delicious! O'Sheehans complimentary meals were my husbands favorite! He could make a meal from the hot wings instead of eating as an appetizer. You can stay busy all day with the activities and entertainment or just relax and do nothing. One reason I prefer Alaska cruise over Caribbean cruise is you can watch for whales, dolphins, dall porpoises, bears, and mountain goats, birds, etc.

We had a wonderful experienced. Destinations are beautiful. Food are awesome. Shows are ok. Ship condition is neat. Excellent embarkation/disembarkation process. Crew in general were great.

service was outstanding, itinerary was great, But food was not very good, weird selection and no good food like a good steak, crab legs, just weird selection.

Paid more for the cruise$150.00more. I could of gotten a better deal booking 90 days ahead then 10 months

We have taken over 30 cruises and we were very impressed with all aspects of this ship. From the officers, crew, food and entertainment. The  verity of food selections were outstanding. We have cruised with NCL before from New Orleans to Hawaii to name a few. 

The greeter on deck 12th entering the food area singing "Washy Washy" each day set the tone. I believe his name is Norman C. 

Everything was perfect as far as we are concerned from boarding to exiting the vessel. 

The experience was very delightful! From booking to departing the cruise at the end we had exceptional good service. Staff was very knowledgeable. They also gave us some insider information they had learned along the way in regards to excursions and places to see on land. JOVAN was an amazing added value to the cruise experience, even in something as laid back as trivia can be he was very gracious and after a general conversation, not a complaint, with Stephen Jacobsen the Hotel Director, we returned later that night to our stateroom to a bottle of wine and petit fours sitting on the bed. I was impressed with a non recovery, act of generosity.

First the Good: Food served was fantastic both in variety, flavor and preparation.  Ship's staff were very friendly and attentive to travelers needs. Ship condition observed by visiting most of the decks showed that the crew was "on the job" around the clock.  Now, the not so good.  Dining area in the Garden Cafe is lacking the table space for pleasant dining without crowding, movement to and from and through the narrow area is difficult.  Staterooms could be better arranged to allow passage to the bed by the installed table/cabinet.  TV mounting could be improved so not in way of movement thru cabin.  Overall experience of this cruise compared to last year's cruise on NCL Pearl shows great improvement in area of food served and condition of ship. 

The locations visited, the ship, the food, and the rooms were all great. Overall the crew was very warm and pleasant. We did several of the tastings and other events and really enjoyed it. Our excursions were great as well. Overall I really enjoyed the trip. My only complaint is that the Texas Hold'em tournament is poorly set up. For $80 we got $2000 in chips, which is fine; however, the starting blinds are $100/$200. This is simply too high. That only gives the player 10 big blinds to start, which is way under the recommended bankroll. It felt like the sole purpose of the tournament was for players to dump a crazy amount of cash into the tournament. That is the one thing I would not do again.

I waited until Norwegian completed as much resolution as they were willing to before posting. We had previously cruised Norwegian in Europe; excellent cruise on the sister ship. I'm still simply frustrated with this experience. It's easier to just say the pros/cons:

Pros:

Cruises Only was great. Alexis is super helpful and responsive. Would highly recommend their services!

Seeing the Alaskan glaciers by water is spectacular. And they may not be there forever.

The butler/concierge services with our owner suite were excellent. Very enjoyable support by our staff team while on board.

Cons:

The port schedule for this trip is not ideal. Limited time in port, at odd hours. We ended up being in sync with two other cruise ships so every port was packed. 

Worst port timing was Victoria. Somehow we ended up losing three hours in transit and arrived at 5pm. Two hours of daylight to enjoy one of the best cities. We had dinner, walked the waterfront, and came back to a dry ship. Disappointing, especially after we did not return via the Inside Passage and effectively had an extra sea day to get there at all.

Most frustrating was the lose of my Bose headphones. I kept them in a drawer in our cabin for use early in the mornings. Forgot them in my packing, but knew exactly where they were. After reporting to Norwegian and waiting two weeks for a response, I had to call them to find out "Nope, nothing found. We hope you cruise with us again." If I had left them somewhere on the ship, I'd have understood. But they were clearly not. No indication of what they did (check over the room, ask any subsequent guests), and no help from anyone with a report or something to help me process a claim. Instead, lots of "We're sorry you lost something. But cruise with us again because of how great we are!" Frankly, I'm just plain disappointed. After a flush week of jewelry shopping through Norwegian's preferred dealers, I'm guessing our commissions were significantly more than what I lost. Soured me to Norwegian as a company, and made the lackluster cruise experience that much worse.  

The Norwegian Cruise line Freestyle Cruise and Ultimate Beverage Package was great. The entertainment was good to the comedian(David) was very funny and the band Extreme was excellent the Lady singer of the group has a excellent voice. The staff was Awesome! The Glacier was beautiful took lots of pictures.

This was a wonderful cruise.  The Norwegian Cruise Line is one that we will most definitely use again.  The staff, even the Captain, were very approachable and willing to help with problems or talk to any/all passengers and answer questions.

Alaska is a beautiful state and the Ports we stopped in were just beautiful.  This is a trip that we will do again!!!

Had a great time.  The cruse was just what we wanted.  Loved the train in Skagway and the Glacier at Sawyer.  The ship was nice and clean.  Had a great time playing bingo.  Be aware of the price of the drinks, it could run up the price by a bunch.

Trip got off to a rough start for the Cruise line would not allow my wife to board because they told her she lacked full documentation to board. Curious for after we left for the cruise, nobody asked to see our photo ID (passport) anywhere else including Canada. Norwegian asked we go home to get the documentation and their attitude was that my wife was a criminal and pay a $300 fine which my wife refused. I cannot say I can recommend Norwegian for I'm thinking the other cruise lines might have offered a solution that perhaps would have allowed my wife to go  while limiting her excursions to US Ports. All it would take is more thoughtful customer service and a willingness to go another step.  .

Trip itself was fine but I was alone on a ship while everyone else had their spouses with them which greatly depressed me.

We had a great time!  Love Norwegian Cruise Line's Freestyle Cruising!  Alaska was awesome!! Kudos to the Captain for the 360 degree turn at the glacier.  Wow!!   Our steward was wonderful!  Already planning on 2 more cruises.  Thsnk you BJ's Travel!

This cruise was one of the best if not the best cruise. Management and staff have provide exceptional service all through out our stay there. If you are going tour chase excursions out, check out this site for a better deal and great customer service. They will provide you with a better rate than what the on board cruise offer.
