Review summary

The trip was good with a number of nice historical sights to visit. It was a nice way to experience Alaska without the bother of traveling yourself from point to point. The ship was comfortable with good service and night-time entertainment. Activities on sea days were a little sparse. The number of children made life on the ship more frantic.

Food in the main dining room was pretty average with the French onion soup notable for limpy cheese. The specialty restaurants were great with the one exception where the chef "carmelized" the creme brulee with salt instead of sugar!

If you don't swim or play bingo, there were not a lot of activities. The fitness center was a little crowded in the mornings.

Ship tip

The ship was nice and the ability to eat without a set dining assignment was nice, but it also inhibited your ability to meet other people. If you are couple traveling, there are a lot of kids and families on the ship. If that bothers you, another cruise line might be better.
