Review summary

We loved Cabo!  So changed over the last 7 years - and for the better!  What a fun place to be!  You have to ignore the folks trying to sell you water cruises, cigars and cookies, though. That was a little bothersome, but it didn't put a damper on our enjoyment.  Beautiful harbor full of gorgeous yachts! Mazatlan's terminal shops were fine, we found very nice things there.  No need to go into town. Puerto Vallarta - we have been there a couple of times and found no need to go downtown. We shopped at the street vendors outside the ship.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We always ate dinner at the Tsar's Palace (other than specialty dining) because it was "dressier" per se after 5 pm - we saw folks going into the more casual Azura wearing swimsuits with cover ups after 5 pm! We thought that to be over the top tacky for a cruise dinner other than for the buffet.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
We didn't go to the shows BUT the Jewel brought on, when we landed in Puerto Vallarta, a Mariachi band to play at the pool for a couple of hours and a wonderful Mexican Folklorio Dance Show in the afternoon in the Stardust Theatre - we loved that!

Children's Programs

We don't have children, there were quite a few on board -- must have been Spring Break for some.

Cabin / Stateroom

Safe was difficult to use. Loved the sliding door shower! Plenty of storage. We had an Aft cabin, fun to watch the water behind us!

Ship tip

Aft elevators were least busy. We liked the Garden Cafe part that was Aft, smaller and cozier, with the same buffet offerings. The Cucina is open for overflow, that's a delightful place! There are afternoon snacks, even salads, at The Great Outdoors, nice if you have a late dinner!
