Review summary
I have been on 5 other cruises, including the same Mexican Riviera cruise with Royal Caribbean and this ship is by far the worst. Let's start with the staff. They were constantly rude and not interested in being on the ship. Whenever they were asked something fairly routine, they either didn't know or made you feel like you were putting them out for asking. Customer service and food service were by far the worst of them all on the ship. The food service staff were annoyed with every order. I was traveling with 3 other people and our orders never came at the same time. We sat for 15 minutes with one order out and the other 2 still in process. When asked about status, the waiter responded with "what do you want?" When we spoke to customer service about these issues, they were just as bad. They didn't want to listen to you and made promises that were not cool wed through on. Even the hotel director on the ship was rude and uncaring. The horrible staff made the experience on the ship very unpleasing. Other items like the food and entertainment were OK, but nothing special. Many items on this line are an up charge (I.e. room service cost $7.95 for most items). They also say they cater to special needs, but not really. For instance, my sister has a gluten intolerance and was told they couldn't accommodate. When talking to management, they said she had to order 4 hours ahead of time....
In the end, you may pay a couple hundred dollars more on Royal or Holland, but it is worth the money.
