Review summary
We have taken this trip two years in a row and absolutely loved this adventure, each year experiment with something different. In Cozumel, we prefer Paradise Beach. Roatan, Honduras is so different from any of the other ports; it's so green, mountainous, and absolutley breath-taking! No need to book an excursion in Costa Maya; simply hop on a $3 taxi and take a short ride to Mahahaul Beach! It's so laid back and a little bit of everything....beautiful beaches, a little shopping, fabulous food & drinks, friendly (a little pushy), and lots of fun. We couldn't wait to get off each day for our new adventure! We have many friends who cruise with other companies; we hear complaints of so-so food, overcrowding, mediocre staff,... Norweigan's food, entertainment, facilites, and staff made for a perfect much-needed week of R&R a week of pure bliss!

This year we traveled on the NCL Jewel. Although it was nice, the NCL Star was extraordinary and seemed to have a more personable staff, one who always seemed upbeat. Both were super; we will not hesitate to book with Norwegian for future cruises!
