Review summary
Let me begin by saying that we had an Awesome week and since we brought our son & his kids this time, we were happy that Norweigan met
and even exceeded our expectations due to the improvements you've made....ESPECIALLY THE FOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's SO much better than our last cruises with you guys...SUPBERB actually...and better than Any other cruise line as well. Cagney's was somewhat weak, but then we didn't eat steak, which is likely their specialty....had a Great waiter but our food wait was so long he offered us a complementary bottle of wine. He was quite embarrassed about it and apologized.

Here are the only 3 things that were disappointing to us:
* On embarkation day, Nov. 24th, and on the 6th day (i think) of the cruise, there was a septic-smelling stench in our hallway. It was
unmistakeable and very unpleasant. This was very uncharacteristic of Norweigan.
* I would like for the spa hours (if only for the $119 sauna/steam package) to be extended at night by 1 hour.
* This is a (little) thing, but the stainless steel salt shakers dispensed very little salt; this was annoying every day. Cagney's was the only
restaurant that had a different set of salt & pepper shakers...and they worked Great.

Other positive feedback:
La Cucina (sp?) was surprisingly the very BEST OF THE BEST....every single detail, our server...the MOST SPLENDID FOOD, appointments, etc. etc. Can't figure out why it's not at seating capacity every night. We'll have at least 2 meals there on our next cruise if we're on the Jewel!
The Garden Cafe` was hands-down a 100% improvement over our first 2 cruises with you. HEALTHFUL opportunities in food choices made for a week of vitality for us. And we felt better when we arrived home this time. We are used to a very fresh, organic, yet flavorful diet, and Norweigan has made great strides on that.
Same goes for the Azura Restaurant. Teeming with flavor, yet amazingly rich, beautiful, and absolutely delectable!!!!!!! We also appreciated the "lighter fare" coupled with younger ambiance since we had kids and grandkids with us.
We very much appreciate the number of menus that offered lobster throughout the week!!!!!!!!!!!!
The spa....massages, sauna package, mosaic turkish chairs, hot & cold soak baths, etc....and efficient, cheerful management/service staff....Excellent.
Entertainment was Excellent as well.
And our cabin steward, Raymond, was beautifully accommodating, congenial, efficient, and outstanding in his work. Such a good man!
Also, embarkation and disembarkation were easier....nice beginning, and we appreciated the lattitude perks that made it breezier.
Thanks for a memorable experience, and know that your hard work and earnest desire to make our cruise exceptionally special are appreciated.
I genuinely believe that you guys really do leave no stone unturned at pleasing your guests.
Cordially,
Lin Crider
Gold Lattitude Members now! (I think...is that right?)
P. S. Please keep sailing out of New Orleans. Any way you could sail to the Eastern and/or Southern Carribean from there?????
