Review summary
We have cruised 26 previous times and this was our first time of "free style" cruising. We enjoyed the ship and almost all the service but we missed the dining companionship of the regular dining guest. The additional charge at the Cagney steak house (with a one free offer on the first night dinner) plus an additional charge for two lobster dinners and one regular with no drinks was a $70.00 dinner which was not worth the price. Our regular lobster night on other cruises was better at no extra charge. The new policy of "manatory tipping"is also offensive although we understand why it would be necessary. We are very much in favor of tipping and always have but to make it manatory it should be changed to be included in the price of the cruise not an additional manatory charge. The word tipping is synonymous of our own free will and should be used as such.Ports of call

Pros: Beautiful ship and wonderful dining decor plus great ports of call
Cons: Free style dining and manatory tipping policy
Recommends Norwegian Jewel? No.
