Great island, plenty of activities. Excellent snorkeling reef. Easy swim and entry is gradual. Must swim out past reef to see most colorful fishes, but worth the swim!! Take a little walk to see the lighthouse. Maybe a mile walk or so, but worth the time to see the windward side of the island.
Easy to do your "own thing" in this port. Self guided tour of Old San Juan is and inexpensive way to spend the afternoon. Can take a ferry accross the bay and a taxi to visit the Bacardi factory, like 7.00 a person. interesting, and free drinks!!

Beautiful island!!! Friendly people, seems safe. Go see the shipyard, pretty setting, interesting history. Snorkeling from shore of beach disappointing. Sandy waters, so not as colorful. Still safe place for beginner snorkler. Easy swim and good facilities.
Always a joy to visit!!! Beautiful island, friendly residents. Not as many red roofs as years ago, missed that part of the scenery, yet still a must see place! Megans Bay deserving th title as one of the most beautiful beaches in the world!!
