Make your specialty dining reservations early

Not all rooms have clocks. This is with any cruiseline. So I would recommend having a watch or a small clock so you can keep track of the time. And if you know you want to eat at Teppenyaki, make reservations before you get on the ship. It has limited seating and fills up quickly.

Be wary of using NCL.com to book anything. Nothing booked through the website or on the 800 number was communicated to the ship. I was lucky that the excursions were still available as I had to rebook.

Room service is no longer free it now cost $7.95 so we did not use it, but didn't really miss it. On days at sea if Buffet restaurant is too busy, O'Sheerans and Grand Pacific do great breakfasts and Lunches.

Smoking policy is not good. The entire 6th floor - often drifting up to the 7th and down to the 5th - smelled TERRIBLE. Smoking is allowed in the casinos and the doors are always open. This is where we had to go every night for our entertainment. It was most unpleasant.
