We absolutely loved it. Can’t wait to go on our next cruise.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
We have sailed many times with Norwegian and we were in a suite. So you get preferential treatment when it comes to embarkation. And they were especially helpful because we left our e tickets at home. But with our passports and room number they were able to get us in and our key cards. We were then escorted onto the ship by our concierge and started with lunch at Cagneys steakhouse. What a way to start our cruise.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
The food was amazing everywhere. My husband normally never eats breakfast except when we are on a cruise. And while cruising he will start with room service with coffee and cereal and then onto the Modernos for steak and eggs. The drinks were amazing! The last night we were there we had Marc MacArthur’s winning drink, the Pineapple Rum Champ at the Bliss. And we see why he won the Mixologist contest, awesome!
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
We mostly hung around the pool. It was so nice to constantly have music going as well as the different contests they had. It turns out that it was spring break which had us worried at first. We are removed from that age by close to 40 years. But honestly everyone had a great time and they were all respectful.
There were no incidents of anyone getting rowdy or in fights. Very relaxing and fun trip for everyone.
Entertainment

The musicians were great. It definitely put everyone in the mood to dance. And the cruise director and his staff kept everyone engaged. That is huge for me. We recently took a cruise on Holland and I felt like I was in an old folks home. No music and we hardly saw the cruise director. Jade did an outstanding job.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Our butler, steward and concierge were all amazing. We didn’t think to make any dinner reservations since it was a 4 day and our concierge went ahead and had made the reservations for us so we wouldn’t miss the chance to get into the specialty restaurants. Our servers were all very attentive and the bartenders were great.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
The ship had gone through a recent refurbishment and we loved the design and the flow of the ship. The lounges were well decorated and had a great flow. We loved it.
Cabin / Stateroom

We have been getting suites for years. This suite was an aft facing suite. We are travel agents and felt it was good for us to experience this location so we could either recommend this area or not. I thought it might be loud or in a rough area but it wasn’t at all. While we were at sea it was relaxing to sit on the balcony and watch where we had been. As far as suites go, I liked our suite on the Dawn better, but it was still very nice. And the perks you get with a suite are well worth it. The only thing about an aft facing suite is as you arrive to a port, you can’t see anything. But since we only had one port in Cozumel, that was ok.
Ship tip
Not all rooms have clocks. This is with any cruiseline. So I would recommend having a watch or a small clock so you can keep track of the time. And if you know you want to eat at Teppenyaki, make reservations before you get on the ship. It has limited seating and fills up quickly.
Cozumel has always been our favorite port. We have done excursions in the past, but now we just like to shop and eat and drink our way through the port. We had a great time at Wet Wendy’s with their giant frozen margaritas. The picture is one of the key lime margaritas. Amazing!
We had some bad news of a family emergency and our concierge was able to escort us off our ship so we could get home. He was so understanding and very helpful. They are top notch with everything they do. We love Norwegian.
