4 night - Miami to Cozumel. Not sure why it came up as Panama Canal - that would be fun though!

Review summary

We went to Cozumel and took the Jeep Snorkel excusion. The jeeps are very old and you just need to have a sense of humor if your going to drive them. It will make the exprerience more fun for your vacation. My husband's seatbelt didn't work so they tied it together, the speedometer didn't work (we aren't even sure if the fuel gage did), the stick shift numbers were reversed (luckily we know the order), the reverse didn't stay in gear so I had to hold it down for my husband for him if he needed 2 hands on the wheel, BUT it was giving us a real laugh and making us appreciate our Jeep we own at home.

Port of Miami is a bit crazy when you have never driven to it but once we were able to get our bags dropped off, parked and inside things went smoothly with Norwegian.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
We have mixed reviews since this is a large group. The Grand Pacific and O'Sheehans I would not recommend based on food and slow service. As for Specialty restaurants I would not recommend Moderno either. I would say to go to Le Bistro - the food and service were wonderful. La Cucina had the best service we have ever had on a cruise and the food was so good. I wish we had went here twice instead of Moderno.

Garden Cafe

Even though it was busy (sold out ship) it was always kept clean. The food was fresh, hot and plentiful with a large variety to choose from.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Everything was really crowded and we didn't get to do a lot. We never went to the pool as it was too full. The chairs were always taken, even by 8 am. There were stacks of them available, but nowhere to put them. We did use the gym but at times would have to wait for certain machines. The basketball court was even always busy. We did all of the trivia games they offered just so we could do something. It isn't that we wouldn't go on the Jade again, just not during a spring break time.

Children's Programs

3 out of 5
Our daughter is 12 and did not go to the program due to the age grouping. She didn't find the activities to be fun and didn't want to be with younger kids.

No order and process seemed liked we stood in line forever getting off the ship. We have been on other cruise lines that didn't seem to be like this.
