Why bother beating a dead ship? The Jade became a beached whale in San Juan, PR.

While the cruise was cancelled early, we'll rebook on another cruise - same ship and itenarary.

Wish we could have left on time and visited Colombia as a POC. but due to mechanical problems for previous cruise we did not leave until Tuesday and had to miss Colombia. but other than that cruise was very good.

We were on the Jades first Panama Canal cruise of this season. Weather was great at each port with the exception one morning but it cleared and remained awesome throughout the day.

Thoroughly enjoyed our 2nd NCL cruise and will return. No complaints apart from their transfer to airport.

This was one of the best cruises I have had in along time. The ship and its crew made this the best vacation. Loved the itinerary and 11 days. The Panama Canal is something everyone should experience, the captain was awesome and explained everything and gave us history on the Canal and everything that was going on.

Ship itself was smaller than I'm used to but as a whole probably best cruise ever. Loved Cruise Director Richard. That guy was everywhere and always having good time. He acknowledged us and remembered us! Specialty restaurants were amazing. Jasmine was even great for being free. The free restaurants were ok. The entertainment were unbelievable. Loved every show we watched especially Blazin Boots. Those dancers are so talented! Room steward was very attentive to our every needs. Ports were beautiful. Had a great time!

Our steward Julius was great I would ask for him if I could on future cruise Some of the ship still Hawaii themed Air conditioning was bad always hot Never mind the casino it was the hottest and small Wasn’t happy with oshehanns Was better on epic Not enough bar staff lines long at all bars But very clean and everyone was very nice Would go again

As a Platinum Plus Latitudes member, I regret that I have two more cruises booked on the Jade. Having sailed on this ship twice before this last cruise, I was always content and satisfied. Keeping in mind that I am not a complainer, my recent experience on the Jade saddens me.

Great Cruise!!! The Jade was amazing.. loved the renovations since the last time on the Jade.. All of the staff were very attentive to us.. even a few that remembered us from another ship (The Getaway).

CLIFF NOTES VERSION: The trip was 1000% amazing. We'd go back to everywhere we visited. I took a lot of pictures. No northern Lights. No puffins.

A delightful cruise, with a good mix of ship and shore days. Shetland, Iceland, Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, Maine were lovely. Main activities were Trivia, which we thoroughly enjoyed on ship days. Progressive was a great way of meeting new friends. Shows were professionally done, though I would have preferred small venue classics, or acoustic artists representing the countries we visited. A few piano bar shows that were enjoyed.

Amazing itinerary for a repositioning cruise. Great weather. Met loads of nice people. Service was good. Food was mixed. Delays in every port annoying

Food wasn’t great. Seemed very processed and repetitive. Jasmine restaurant menu was limited and didn’t change during the duration of the cruise. Garden cafe was freezing. Everyone was wearing coats. We were in Iceland and they had the air on! Guest services staff looked fed up from day one, seemed like everything was too much trouble. I’d read reviews saying the bathrooms were awful but we found it to be ok. Cabin attendant was great. We chose this cruise for itinerary which was amazing, as did many who were also disappointed in NCL

I had a great time on this cruise. The crew, especially the group at the Java cafe, were very attentive. My room steward was very attentive. I noticed that my room was looked after at minimum two to three times a day. At times the service at the Grand Pacific mdr was a little slow, but the shared group conversation made up for that. The food selection was varied at dinner time; lunchtime only had two different menus based on sea or port days. I ate only once at a specialty dining (Modernos). It was very good and filling. Go in hungry, then you can actually get through to desert. Lol. We had excellent destination lectures due to the humorous speaker. The ports we're great and only one had tenders which made for easy on/off.

Food was nothing like advertised. The food said it was one thing and it was the furthest thing from it! For example "Meat Loaf" was a role of Bologna.

Not much to do with some of the port but my husband and I always makes the best of it.

The cruise was overall a great time, the ports were fantastic. I was very disappointed in the quality of the food. Very surprised that it was low quality since most cruises people rave about the food.

This was an amazing experience. The fjords are very scenic, although the towns are generally very small so don'texpect to do much sightseeing or shopping in those. However, do go kayaking in Geiranger (most sheltered and scenic of all the places to do it) and consider the rib ride in Alesund if you're adventurous (don't do a rib ride in an actual fjord because you don't experience the speed). If you don't have a balcony, it's worth getting a spa pass, because this looks out over the bow of the ship and gives you great views while a) being away from the crowds on the pool deck, b) in the warm, and c) with access to a hot tub and sauna at the same time as the views (and special drinks etc). I ate in Le Bistro, La Cucina, Jasmine Garden, Sushi Bar, O'Sheehans and Grand Pacific. They were all okay, but La Cucina was the least enjoyable experience due to being oddly laid out. The sushi bar was surprisingly excellent, and not very expensive. O'Sheehans was very convenient from my cabin - only one deck down and a short corridor away, and it was rarely busy. The staff were all welcoming and quickly learned your name, which was quite amazing given that the cruise was sold out.

I chose this cruise because I have always wanted to see the fjords, hear all about the vikings, and of course trolls. I was not disappointed. The cruises I chose via NCL were informative, fun, and I got to see everything I wanted to see and more. We were very lucky with the weather, we saw no rain at all and that is very unusual especially for Bergen. Dress in layers, and choose the month of August for the best chance of good weather.
