Review summary

This was truly a Canadian Cruise as all ports were in Canada. Having taken at least 6 New England Cruises this cruise had 2 ports we had never been to and one we hadn't been to in over 25 years! There was only one night of rough seas and entertainment had to be cancelled for that evening. That show was rescheduled for the last night of the cruise. Nice variety of shows and excellent entertainers. There was a good variety of food available, but the restaurant menus have been more limited in variety and buffet variety and offerings reduced also compared to many of our cruises over the past 35 years.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Just arrived prior to some busses coming in so we beat the crowd at 11:00. TSA was very picky about a toe nail clipper my husband had in his carry on.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Went to mostly buffets as my husband eats every hour and a half or so. Did go to Cagney's and the French restaurant. They had wonderful service, excellent food and atmosphere!

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
We did a lot of walking while on board. Weather was not conducive to use of pools etc. Went to frequent cruiser get together and art gallery.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Stage shows were very good and great variety. Musicians in different locations were very talented and enjoyable to listen to.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Specialty restaurant service was excellent as well as out room steward. They always said your name and made your feel special.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
All common areas were very clean and maintained. The ship layout had been changed somewhat from sister ships. A few were improvements for the flow on the services area.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
The size was good for us with lots of dresser and closet space, more than enough. It was very clean, and any request was honored. For an obstructed view we didn't have a lifeboat in front of us, just a support beam so we could see the water as well. It was located convenient to most activities or easy to get to.

Ship tip

It's a smaller and older ship but has been refitted and in very good condition. Plesant staff and crew that are very helpful also.

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
Due to purchase over $800 on board had to go to customs and declare items purchased with receipts. They came over a half hour late and had to sit and wait for them. Did get to disembark quiet quickly after that even taking all of our luggage as walk off.
