Review summary

It was very well done, great ship, excellent personnel, very smooth sailing. Loved my cabin, and especially the balcony. Great shore excursions and excellent food. Getting 5 at sea and the ability to prepay meant that I left the ship with a bill of $6.36. Made me feel I was at an all-inclusive. No surprises. Other than the rug I was forced to buy I was able to keep within my budget for shopping and was so encouraged that I participated in the cruise next program. I was very impressed with the clientele loyalty. I have been on several different ships but never heard the brand loyalty that I heard until this cruise.

Embarkation

3 out of 5
The heavy rain stopped all the computers so no one could embark for at least 1 hour. That also meant qy=uite a backlog as people kept arriving plus because the luggage was outside, the paper was destroyed and the clothes inside my suitcase were wet.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Only went to the buffet, 2 specialty restaurants and the mojito bar, all were excellent.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
The only time I used any facility was the hot tub/pool but it started raining about 5 minutes after I was outside, so I left

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The ony show I saw was blazing boots which was really well done and very enjoyable.

Children's Programs

no kids with me

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Room steward was great, waiters and food servers were all excellent, excursion desk was on the ball and did a great job. When eating at the buffet I was able to get a glass of wine within a very short time of being seated. I really appreciated that.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
very clean, well organized

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
size perfect and the balcony was beyond perfect. I appreciated lots of storage room

Ship tip

I am someone who gets seasick very easily and there was not one minute that I felt sick. The Captain was so good that I couldn't even tell if we were moving or stopped unless I looked outside.

Ports of call

Piraeus (Athens), Greece

5 out of 5
My excursion was cancelled because of the Athens marathon which was very disappointing

Kusadasi (Ephesus), Turkey

4 out of 5
This port was okay but I didn't appreciate being forced into buying a rug that was way out of my budget. I was never given a chance to opt out of the rug buying and absolutely would have if given the chance. Too many very aggressive sales tactics at both Ephesus and the walk back in the port

Patmos, Greece

4 out of 5
mythical and magical, excellent tour

Ashdod, Israel

5 out of 5
Went to Masada and the dead sea. Fantastic tour, amazing places, good guide

Haifa, Israel

5 out of 5
I am sorry to only give this a 5 star. This city was amazing but the tour I took to Bethlehem and Jerusalem was the most amazing, incredible and unforgettable tour I have ever taken. The tour guide Sam and the driver Devi were beyond compare. I would give their tour a 10 out of 5.

Limassol, Cyprus

4 out of 5
Very interesting, I loved having the opportunity to go across the green line and the best part was the two journalists. Great conversation, learned so much. The guide was extremely knowledgeable and did a great job.

Santorini, Greece

4 out of 5
Beautiful island, great guide, lots of good shopping with little or no pressure. Plate throwing dance was a blast

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
excellent and well organized
