Review summary

Great cruise with beautiful and unique ports! This was the first European cruise for me and my friend. While we didn't have as many interactions with other guests and there weren't many people in our age group, we had a great time. The food and service was amazing (shoutout to Vanja and Mariano!). Our cabin steward was great but we didn't have towel animals (didn't bother us). We loved being at ports every day and still had time some days to enjoy the pool deck or reading on our balcony. We didn't go to all of the shows because they didn't all interest us but the ones we went to were good. There wasn't quite as much participation in onboard events but we still enjoyed the ones we went to. Definitely try the indian food in the buffet and the caramel cheesecake at Cagneys!

Embarkation

Embarkation was fairly easy. I recently had COVID and had my positive test plus a doctors note but was still required to take an antigen test at the pier. It was covered by NCL but I will admit it was nerve wrecking!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The food on the cruise was overall better than my recent cruises. I'm not sure if it's because I haven't done an NCL cruise in a while or because food is just better in Europe. We enjoyed the food in the MDR and specialty restaurants. We were both excited to have Indian food in the buffet!

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Being a smaller ship and a port intensive cruise, there were slightly less activities available. We mostly enjoyed time on the pool deck.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Being a smaller ship and a port intensive cruise, there weren't as many entertainment options. We still enjoyed the not so newly wed game but missed dancing with the stars and the Quest game. The musicians were all high quality and we were very impressed but the aerial team.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Staff was great and always helpful!

Cabin / Stateroom

I accidentally booked an enclosed balcony instead of a regular balcony. It was a little smaller visual to the sea but we still enjoyed it. The room was a great size and storage was plenty for us for 7 days.

Ship tip

Book specialty dining early unless you like eating late.

Ports of call

Piraeus (Athens), Greece

4 out of 5
We didn't do an excursion but had 2 days in Athens before the cruise left. It was enough time to do most of the sites and have time to explore the area.

Kusadasi (Ephesus), Turkey

5 out of 5
We were pleasantly surprised with Kusadasi. Ephesus was beautiful and I would love to go back and experience the beaches.

Istanbul, Turkey

4 out of 5
Istanbul was full of culture! It was a big hectic and very crowded but still a great experience

Volos, Greece

3 out of 5
We enjoyed our time at Volos by walking about 60 minutes to a beach and enjoying the beach bar. We enjoyed it but it but there was less to do than other ports

Mykonos, Greece

5 out of 5
LOVED Mykonos. It was very easy to get around and explore on your own. It was very windy on our day so we didn't get to go to a beach but that would be what I still would love to do.

Rhodes, Greece

5 out of 5
Rhodes surprised us as well. We walked around the port area and took the bus to Lindo to enjoy a gorgeous beach.

Santorini, Greece

5 out of 5
Santorini was beautiful. It was easy to take the bus around the island and we were able to do a ton on our day there

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Quick and easy
