7 Night Western Caribbean (Houston Roundtrip)
Sail Date: January 02, 2016
Ship: Norwegian Jade
Cabin Type: Oceanview
Cabin Number: 8008
Traveled As: Family (older children)
Reviewed: 1 year ago

Once we got used to the ship's unusual decor, we had a blast. Our cabin steward was wonderful, food was good, entertainment was a bit campy but enjoyable. On the last night we were overcharged for someone else's bar tab but it was promptly corrected by a nice lady at the guest services desk the next morning. We booked three shore excursions, one was cancelled due to bad weather, the other two were awesome. Once we returned home I notified the Shore Excursions Group of the cancellation and received a refund within a few days. Overall an awesome experience!

Norwegian Jade was originally named the Spirit of Hawaii; the decor is very odd.

Our cabin was the last cabin in the bow. We did not hear any noise from fellow passengers but there was a bit of boat noise (clanging and water spray) in the early hours of the morning.

Ship Tip

The Stardust Theater was a bit chilly, bring a sweater

Our shore snorkel was cancelled due to rough surf, but we had a great lunch at the restaurant at Sunset Beach.

Altun Ha was a great excursion. Recommend booking through Ecological Tours.

Zip lining in Roatan was one of the best things we have ever done. South Shore Ziplining was amazing.
