this is a very nice ship. very clean. great ports, with croatia, turkey and greece. excellent staff. however, everything on the ship was really, really expensive. also, everyone tried to upsell everything on the ship. also, there is a "cover charge" or forced gratuity charged at the end of the cruise. this amount is 24 dollars a day per person. 12 goes to staff and 12 goes to housekeeping. i don't know about you, but i think 48 dollars per day per room (4 person occupancy) is way, way too high. basically, ncl is forcing us to directly pay their employees. this is simply unfair. also, never actually told us this, so it came as a big suprise.

Pros: ship, food, people, staff

Cons: expensive, upsell everything, nickel and dimed me to death

Recommends Norwegian Jade? Yes!

Ship Quality
Food and Dining
upcharged resturaunts were often full. steakhouse (25 upcharge per person) was worth every penny, and then some
Cabin / Stateroom
Service and Staff
Entertainment
tons of entertainment
Children's Programs
amazing children's activities. children hated being in ports because they loved the kid's club so much
Split, Croatia
amazing city. beautiful, clean, and people are friendly
Izmir, Turkey
house of virgin mary is a long way but definately a spiritual experience, especially if you are catholic. very clean city. freeways comparable to US. not too expensive.
Dubrovnik, Croatia
must see. friendly people, not too expensive
Piraeus (Athens), Greece
dirty and crowded city. very, very expensive. souviners are way too expensive and are mostly junk
