Nice ship. Larger balcony room was spacious enough for the four of us, including 2 teenage daughters.

Very disappointing food service. The main dining room is nice but food and service is substandard (compared to other lines or restaurants). They offer many "specialty" restaurants which we found the service to be very good, but food quality is still lacking. No midnight buffets like other lines. I must say the best food was at the buffet dining room - though it was always a mad house.

Overall service level is also substandard. The room steward seemed to care but really to write home about. The rest of the staff, from bars to cruise information was sometimes downright rude.

Port itineraries are pretty much useless... They point out a little history but not much information if you want to do things on your own - who wants to shell out $400 - $600 at everyport for the tours???

Overall, disappointing but we enjoyed the room and the itineary.

Pros: Room

Cons: Food

Recommends Norwegian Jade? No.

Ship Quality
Beutiful ship but perhaps undersized. Pool and the deck area are too small. Buffet restaurant is a total chaos most of the time.
Cabin / Stateroom
Livorno (Florence & Pisa), Italy
Did not take the tour to Florence - a real shame but came to realize if you include the drive time you don't have enough time anyway. Took the local bus to Pisa - worthwhile to do.
Monte Carlo, Monaco
Cathederal and the view from the palace area
Palma De Mallorca, Balearic Islands
Forget the excursions. Take the double decker bus tour which stops right outside the port.
Don't Miss: Cathedral and the old town.
Naples, Italy
Make a deal with a taxi driver to take you to Pompei - schedule more than 2 hours for visit.
Civitavecchia (Rome), Italy
Rome was a mess - this is the second time in Rome in the summer and now I remember why I did not go there for 20 years. Hot and millions of people. Took the local train - read the schedule carefully to take the intercity express (40min, non-stop). Took the local back and it stopped at every station, and packed it in so people were sitting on the foors. 2 hour torture.
