What a complete disappointment and waste of money. There was not one happy person on this cruise. Everyone was disappointed for many many reasons

Couldn't get into one restraunt without a two hour Minimum wait. Dirty dishes glasses left out overnight everywhere. Do not buy you children the soda package. Thenknlybplace your CHILD can get a soda is at the bar!!!!! Such a play on words. Free juice at the buffet

Overcrowded pools, adult only hot tubs loaded with kids, people smoking weed at every corner, the on board singer, we thought it was karaoke night they were so bad, maybe 50 seats available in the atrium can't ever get a seat, couldn't get into a show because they don't take reservations and they fill up at least an hour and a half before the show, couldn't do any outside things due to wind and waves. So the only kid entertainments were water slides and ropes course and they were closed the while time. We only had access to the arcade 4 out 5 days of our entrapment. The kids clubs. Are you kidding me. My 11 year old was to play in a very small room with the 3 year Olds? Come on! What a waste of time and money

On board singers, though it was karaoke night, stage show on the boat was over booked with passengers so it was impossible to see a show. Yhe atrium activities over crowed no where to sit absolutely boring. Who wants to play what flag goes to what country. Really?

You need to really think about the ages and stages of children. That room for 3 to 12 year olds was ridiculous if you had a 3 Year old. How do you expect my 11 year old to go and be happy in a room full of babies playing a little tykes toys? It is not age appropriate whatsoever

Our toilet broke on day 3 I called them at 2 AM when we all woke up to take our showers and get going it was still broken. I had to go downstairs to find someone to help me. Once the plumber finally came i had also heard them talking to a neighbor 3 doors down that they're Toilet had also clogged twice already. The bedroom TV has 2 stations of repeat movies over and over

Stairways were constantly being cleaned but the outside restaurants that have balconies if you go out there after hours it is full of dishes napkins and old food it was disgusting. Day 1 and 2 in the buffet they are quick to get to you, quickly take your plates away after that it's all downhill we were searching for silverware, no one was clearing the tables, It just was a complete disaster
Cabin / Stateroom

Our cabin was supposed to be a Queen bed with 2 pull down beds for the kids. My husband and I both slept in bunk beds. It is what it is it was an inside cabin No bells and whistles
We were supposed to spend 2 days on the beach, But instead got diverted to the Bahamas we parked at 9:45 at night and left 6 hours later at 3:45 AM all the shops were closed on the island there was absolutely nothing to do.
If you get diverted to the pawe work they hand you makes it look as if it is at least one day at an island so our disembarkment was a complete surprise at 4 AM we thought we had 1 day on a beach until 345 the next afternoon
You should have made reservations for dinner. I will be on Getaway at the end of April and was able to make reservations for the main dining room. And you can make reservations for the shows. It is recommended that you do that as soon as you board the ship.
The Getaway is one of our favorite ships. Sorry you missed your port. I would be disappointed with an unexpected trip to Nassau. Nassau is my least favorite port.
Agree with many of the comments. If it is a legit one, I am sorry you had such a bad experience and you are not the first one to say NCL is not that great, but others have also witnessed worsening due to the pandemic, like with all cruise lines. Make sure we can understand what you write though.
There have been many complaints about NCL cruises lately,but when almost everything is rated one star, the problem is with the reviewer, not the cruise line, or it is a total fake just a bash the Cruise Line.
Agree with PaulzyJC, I really do want to read opinions but with so many typos, no punctuation, rambling complaints itβs hard. It sounds like the short cruises on the Getaway out of NYC are throwaways for NCL.
The NCL cruises seem to get worse every day. No cleaning, no activities, nothing to do for the kids... When the advance bookings run out, the bottom line will reflect the customer dissatisfaction that results from the cuts and layoffs
