Review summary

Just wish that it didn't feel so sales oriented, from food, to drinks, to entertainment, even had to pay room service fees (which we have never had to do before). The whole cruise seemed very impersonal and way to busy.

Entertainment

Dislike that reservations had to be made for everything in advance. Main theater shows were repetitive in comparison to the many other NCL cruises we have taken where they have a different show every night, 2 seatings a day.

Service and Staff

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
If the ship was more equipped to entertain the 3,900 people on board, the rating would be much higher. At sea days proved to be WAY to busy anywhere on the ship, but especially at the pool. The ship definitely needs more than 1 main pool....its way to crowded and small.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
Cabin was much smaller than previous cruises.

Ship tip

Take a smaller ship if you are going to cruise with NCL. The larger ships feel more like a sales pitch and way to crowded.

Not much to do

Great Stirrup Cay (Cruise Line Private Island), Bahamas

3 out of 5
No shade provided, had to pay for an umbrella, which seems ridiculous considering the island is owned by NCL. Also, not much to do, no water slides or fresh water pools.

Amber Cove (Puerto Plata), Dominican Republic

San Juan, Puerto Rico

At this time, this is the norm. You will pay more for less as lines try and get staff back up to normal levels. Hopefully as we move forward it'll get back to pre pandemic cruising. Thanks for your review

Sorry this cruise didn’t meet your expectations.

It appears you have not cruised in the past few years as room service fees have been with us for some time now.
