Review summary

Let me start by saying, I've cruised the Getaway previously and that cruise was my favorite of all time and reason why I booked the Getaway again. The 2nd time around....worst cruise ever! New staff, new home port which meant total chaos and confusion. Staff were unhappy and untrained. Customer service was worthless and didn't care. Not sure how you run out of milk, tea, butter and numerous other items? Most cruisers and spoke to had the same expecting which is really sad. I looked forward to this trip for so long and was so disappointed. I have already cancelled my next cruise with Norwegian. I'll gladly return to Royal and Carnival.

Stayed at the Omni Riverfront across the street from port. Easy walk to port. Norwegian seemed to be completely lost and unorganized. Ship arrived late so people from the previous were still disembarking at noon.

Long John silvers would have been better. Booked for the night of our anniversary. Great way to ruin your night. Wasn't even able to eat, sent the food back. Beware...the menu you see online when booking is no longer their menu! Upcharge for anything seafood.

Nachos were great. Burgers were just okay. Key lime pie was outstanding! Wait staff were lost which seemed to be the theme of the cruise.

Didn't care about anything. Missed an excursion due to Norwegian calling tendors past scheduled time and was not refunded. Ran out of many beverages the last 3 days I f cruise. No milk or tea. Response was "not sure how that happened but we ran out".

Harvey, our room steward, was hands down the worst room steward of any cruise I have taken. Not sure if he was just that unhappy or if he didn't understand English? Was never greeted by name or with a smile. Asked for ice twice a day and received twice the entire cruise. I usually tip $5-$10 a day over the gratuities however, this time, I reversed all of his gratuities! I had to clean the room daily and ask for towels from a steward working down the hall! (I tipped him!)

Once again, we anchored and used the life boats. Priority meant waiting in a room for an hour and a half to board a life boat. Was 30 minutes late for our excursion and was the only couple to make it out of 12. Norwegian can do better than this!

Never got off the ship. Tendor process was a joke. Later learned they used their lifeboats because "the new crew needed to be certified". Glad to know we were on the ship 5 days without anyone being certified to drive the life boats. Missed our excursion. No refund!

Beautiful private island. Beach is crushed seashells and the water was aweful. Pool was nice. Lots of chairs. High prices!
