Review summary

FOOD WAS TERRIBLE ALL OVER EXCEPT O'SHEENAN'S . FOOD ON 15TH FLOOR SAME ALL THE TIME. FOOD AT THE TROPICANA IS THE SAME STORY. SHANGHAI RESTAURANT YOU SHOULD CLOSE. FOOD TRUCKS COOKS BETTER THAN YOUR FOOD. WE WERE AT THE NCL EPIC LAST YEAR AND NO COMPLAIN. EVEN THE FOOD AT CARNIVAL AND ROYAL CARRIBEAN ARE BETTER. NCL GETAWAY IS A DISAPPOINTMENT.

4 COUPLES ON OUR GROUP WERE ON THAT SIDE OF THE BOAT. THE BUCU'S ,BINGCANG'S, CLAEBOE'S. THEY ONLY SAY ONE THING .DIRTY CABIN. ONE BLACK WOMAN HOUSEKEEPER ALONG THE WAY, VERY RUDE AND NASTY TO US

A friend who is a Diamond Status holder on NCL put it to me this way, “NCL is for very, very, very, laid back cruisers, probably not adventure seekers and planners” Then they said “you are a planner”. They stay on board and read by the pool, and do activities on the ship. They hardly get off. They are definitely NOT into fancy, gourmet food. They just have a different travel style. I still wanted to go with them, but now I get it. But, going to make the best of it. I like organization and structure. I know this IS going to be different from other cruise lines. I knew that going in, but was still hoping to get good food, and easy embarkation, tendering and debarkation. Hoping for good shows. Hoping for a clean cabin. And nice Cabin Attendant. We will see.

We loved the getaway, sailing on it again in January. Stay with Royal & carnival. Norwegian is known to be completely different from them. Our steward was the best we ever had. Sorry you had a horrible time we loved it.

We were on the same cruise and we agreed the food was the worst we have ever experience and we have been on Royal Caribbean, princess, carnival and p&o very disappointing.

The food was great on the Getaway when I cruised! So much that we look for NCL bookings before royal or carnival. Royal is at the bottom of my list.

Absolutely inaccurate review. Cruised in August on this ship. Food was good everywhere and superb in specialty dining. I was really blown away.
