Review summary
We have been on the Getaway two times now. Both times were worth it, stayed in the Haven the service is beyond great. This time we took 4 grandkids and they loved it as well. The lines for water slides moved quickly and they went on several times in a couple hours. My youngest had a mental breakdown one night outside the shops and staff went above and beyond to make her happy to the point of she wanted to go back every night and see them, and every time they would greet her like family. The thermal spa on NCL has more to offer then any other line I’ve been on. Ask for a tour and see for yourself. We ate at different place every night food was always good and we never had a problem finding or asking for something to be made special for our picky eater. Escape the big top was absolute fun. The Cirque show was exciting as well. Costa Maya is a port that you have to travel to do anything we did Kohunlich & Dzibanche Ruins it was a long day but we learned a lot more than any other ruins I have ever done At Harvest Caye we rented a cabana and it was absolutely lovely the service was great, water nice, and they provide WIFI that is better than the ships service, food and drinks were very good. They have 2 zip lines, a huge pool, beach, and shops, if you want to you can take a boat to Belize. In Roatan did Tabyana beach & Gumbalimba Preserve the preserve has improved you learn a little history and can see artifacts even have insect specimens, the monkeys are not leashed and come and go as they please and they will take pictures for you but you can also take them yourself. The beach was nice they provide a lunch which was good then they will help you find seats on beach. The water was calm and clear. The vendors can get to be a pain but if you just say no they leave you alone. I don’t recommend the Cozumel stingray encounter & snorkel. The water was so rough two of the kids got out before time was over and my husband had to carry one. The snorkel was to tight of a group you spend your time getting kicked and pushed around.Embarkation
