Review summary

I'm of the opinion that if I have to choose a staff that really seem to love what they do vs luxury or decor....I'm going for service. The Getaway was nice but so chaotic. Just was not as enjoyable as the Carnival cruise lines.

Embarkation

Someone jumped or fell off the ship and so our departure was delayed several hours. Not there fault but by ten o'clock that evening I still didn't have my luggage to my room.

My issue with the self seve lines is that they kept closing one side and they wpild rope it off. You were supposed to understand their system, but it was total chaos. There were several of the wprkers who were down right rude.

Ship tip

The ship was nice but not nearly as personable as Carnival. The Glory may not be as nice as the Getaway but the personal service is STELLAR on the Glory

I'm a little confused about the rope system. You mean if you saw a roped off area, you had to walk ALL the way to the other side of the buffet to get food? Or did they actually rope it off while you were on line? That might get me a little annoyed. Then a minute later I'd get my food and move on. I'm on vacation. Where do I have to be? I've been on cruises Carnival included, where I handed off my bags at 10 and didn't see them til 4. That's 6 hours. What time did your bags board? It's all luck who gets their bags first. Unless you move upstairs. Well then different story. But then even with priority tags my bags have come later. Is what it is.
