Review summary

We arrived back at 3pm versus the 8am planned arrival due to crew member who jumped overboard. Cost us money to change flight that was 2pm. Waited 3 hours to use a phone, then half hour to connect (very poor internet, phone connections) to call airline to change flight and had to pay $129 for the change. No compensation from Norwegian even though it was their employee who caused delay.

I didn’t buy travel insurance till I booked an Alaskan cruise. Best money I ever spent. My husband died on the first night. All of my expenses were reimbursed including cruise, booked excursion, travel home for me and my husband’s body. Even on a three night cruise I buy insurance now. Hopefully you’ll never need it but in case you do it’s well worth it.

I lost 600 dollars because I had to catch an earlier flight (different carrier) because my mother was not doing well. Should I make NCL pay because I got the phone call while I was on their ship? I don't care if the guy jumped, fell or was pushed off the ship. What they did was right, both morally and legally. They can't be held responsible for everyone else's misfortunes. Get over it.

Are you so self centered that you cannot understand that someone could have lost their life? Travel is unpredictable and should be prepared to deal with unexpected events. You are a horrible person. If $129 breaks your bank maybe you should stay home next time.
