There are much better cruise options than Norwegian which we will definitely chose in the future.
Embarkation
2 out of 5
We had been on several cruises and this was the first and last on Norwegian. The boarding process was a nightmare with thousands stuffed into a room which was way to small and many young and old had to sit on the dirty floor. The key cards that we were issued did not work and the rude woman told us to get out of line and stand on the side. We then waited another 45 minutes to be cleared for boarding.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
The ship was clean and the Tropicana restaurant had excellent food and service.
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
There were lots of kids on board and most were not supervised. There were 2 hot tubs that children could use and they did, it is not a safe practice to have young children in a hot tub not supervised.
There is a casino on board which has a smoking and non-smoking section. Forget it people smoke where ever they like and no one stops them.
There are a lot of cruise companies that are a much better value.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
The Abba presentation was especially enjoyable as were the shows in the main theater.
Service and Staff
3 out of 5
Some personnel were very nice but there were a number of staff who acted like they really did not want to be there.
Ship Quality
2 out of 5
The ship was clean but public bathrooms were often missing essential articles and were not clean.
Cabin / Stateroom
1 out of 5
We had booked what turned out to be one of the smallest balconies ever. Barely enough room for 2 small chairs and a tiny table large enough for one cup. The stateroom was the smallest that we have ever had, you had to walk sideways to get to the closet or get into one side of the bed. The bathroom was equally as small with a shower large enough for 1/2 a person. It became routine to elbow things off of the wall, I have no idea how a large person would fit.
Maybe you just had a bad experience I've Cruise several different lines and I really like Norwegian I would have to say Norwegian and Royal are my favorites so if this was your first time on Norwegian try it again
