We liked the itinerary. Day at sea at beginning and end of cruise.
Embarkation
2 out of 5
This is the second time we have cruised with Norwegian and both times had lengthy delays in Embarkation. We were not there too early, around noon, and at that time we were in group 15 to embark. When we got on the ship the staterooms were still not ready.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
No complaints about the food. Plenty of variety and restaurant choices
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
I find the seating area around the pool quite limited.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
The 2 shows we went to were excellent. Most of the Atrium entertainment was good. One performer in particular we found lacking and he performed quite often.
Children's Programs
We had not children with us
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
All of the staff are pleasant and helpful. We did not often see our steward. Twice we were not provided with beach towels and on the last night we did not get all of the informational paperwork regarding the disembarking process.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
The common areas were clean and well maintained. I wish there were more areas available with comfortable seating inside along windows. We had a full day of rain and would have liked to be able to sit and read someplace other than on the deck wrapped up in towels to keep warm.
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
The cabin was what we expect on a ship of this type. I would have preferred a little more space on either side of the bed. I wear glasses and the end table was not even wide enough for me to put my glasses on without folding them up.
Ship tip
If you want a lounge chair in the pool area, get there early!
Avoid some of the crowds in the buffet by going to the dining rooms. The food is great and you don't have to dodge people to get to it!
We did not spend any time on Harvest Caye. We did river tubing which involved a boat trip then a bus ride to get to our excursion. It was worth it though. The tubing was relaxing and our guide was awesome. He was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions. The iguana's were jumping from tree to tree along the river. Pretty cool
We did a cave excursion on the mainland. The ferry is a rough ride, but we were made aware of it on our tickets. The excursion was one of the best I've ever been on. Very interesting and different. The guide was very enthusiastic and knowledgable. We left wanting to do research on the area.
We were not provided with all the informational paperwork the night before so had to go to guest services to get it. They did not have any english versions available. The line getting off was up one length of the ship and back down the other. When we went to retrieve our bags they were not in the main room and there was no one to direct us to where they were. Once we got our bags customs was very easy.
