Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
Main dining room first night steak was very tough, couldn’t eat it and the service was terrible. The waiters seemed disorganized and confused. Took a very long time to receive food.
Specially restaurants were disappointing. Cagney steaks were delicious but again terrible service. Tappanyaki food was tasty service was very good. Moreno meat was very good but again service was terrible....didn’t get to taste some meats cause they never came to our table. They just seem like they don’t know what they are suppose to do!

Cabin / Stateroom

Pleasantly surprised on the cabin. We had 16 fam members and all had midship mini suites. Even though Norwegian seems to be a little on the smaller size of cabins and balconies, the rooms worked for all 4fams. There were 4 in each room. Pull down bunk bed was fun for the 6 and 8 year olds and the 3 year olds slept with mom/dad in bed or on the couch.
Ship tip
The Norwegian Getaway is a fun ship for parents and children. They could’ve used another pool for the amount of people onboard.
We’ve been on 50plus cruises( mostly royal Caribbean) 5 on Norwegian and it seems Norwegian stabilizers aren’t great compared to RCC,or Princess,or Celebrity....a lot of vibration and swaying( again were in the midship) and comparatively not great!
Fun but wish there were paddle boats or kayaks to rent where we were on beach( which was center of beach). Elias at the bar was SUPER!
Sand was very shelly. The pool and splash pad was great!
