The cruise was phenomenal! Norwegian Getaway is a beautiful ship and we had no trouble getting around. The complimentary restaurants were fabulous and the specialty ones were outstanding. We enjoyed delicious food and drink at all. Entertainment was spectacular. Everyone was friendly and helpful. It was truly a dream vacation!!

Our room steward, Dominick, met all of our needs and kept our suite spotless and fully equipped. All of the waiters we encountered on this cruise were professional and friendly.

The ship's layout was excellent. It was easy to get around and find what you were looking for -- didn't get lost once!! The entire ship was always clean and well-maintained.
Cabin / Stateroom

Our suite was nicely decorated, bed was comfortable, towels were soft, plenty of storage space and we loved the balcony. Our room steward kept the suite immaculate.
It was pouring down rain the day we visited this port. We took a bus trip around the island, which involved trying to miss all the potholes. Our bus driver was fantastic; very careful driving during the rain and avoiding potholes. Tour guide was good. We didn't go on the boat trip, but remained in the restaurant and enjoyed a delicious meal.
Took an excursion to the Chacchoben Mayan Ruins which was very interesting. Erick was an outstanding tour guide. He was very knowledgeable and provided information that made the trip enjoyable. Melin, the bus driver, was very helpful, even assisting me on the climb after I slipped almost immediately. Great adventure.
Cozumel is so beautiful. We took a taxi to meet our Buggy Island Overview and Snorkel excursion. We rode in a buggy with a newlywed couple on their honeymoon -- delightful young people and he was a safe driver. Enjoyed spectacular scenery on the ride and made several stops to enjoy the beach, visit Mayan ruins, visited a Tequila shop and enjoyed lunch. Oman, Hernane and Jose were fantastic tour guides.
Iām back on the Getaway in January. You mentioned no long lines at embarkation. What time did you arrive? Iām trying to gauge best time with shortest lines. We will be traveling with our daughter and her family and her hubby is not very tolerant.
