Had a great time, would probably spend more time on ship in the future or be a little more selective with ports that we want to visit. All in all, would highly recommend the Norwegian Getaway.

This was our first cruise and first vacation to the Caribbean with children. We were very pleased with the ship and the amenities. I would’ve skipped ports in Mexico however.

Buffets, Main dining room’s and specialty restaurants were impressive. The all inclusive alcohol package is a must and well worth it.
Onboard Activities

My Entire family utilized all of the onboard activities. Ultimately we spent a lot of time by the pool and water tubes and slides.

Made it to one stage show and saw dueling pianos iand a comedy act. All top notch!

Kids tried structured on board activities and also visited the teen club. There weren’t any complaints.

I have nothing to compare it to, but I found a Layout to be easy to follow. There were charts at every elevator so you knew where to go before getting on.
Cabin / Stateroom

Loved the balcony room. We upgraded to a spa bathroom and it was well worth it… Lots of extra room. Also had an interior room for the kids. That was tight and we thought it was supposed to sleep three based on pictures when we booked. Turned out it only slept two and they could not accommodate us during the cruise. Subsequently we had a teenager in the suite with us😞
Ship tip
Take advantage of every restaurant, even the specialties. Check out the sunset bar on the getaway.
Once again, I have nothing to compare it to, but it didn’t seem that bad. Kept our luggage with us because we had an early flight. Transportation from the port to the airport also went rather seamlessly.
