left out of FLL airport and took ship in Miami. Expect to pay higher rate for Uber and Taxi's from FLL airport to the port. Overall great ship, great ports and excellent food.
Embarkation
4 out of 5
the port is a little small - get there early to avoid the loan line. We still had to wait to get on the ship but once they cleared the ship we boarded easily.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
food and drink was great. I do think there was too few drink servers. on the pool deck they rarely came to all areas and the lines were long at the pool bars.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
rock climbing, ropes course, fitness center were all good.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
shows available every night but not all were family friendly. some of the smaller venues were too small for the events.
Service and Staff
4 out of 5
staff was friendly and courteous but not all of them went "out of their way" to be stars. still didn't impact the trip.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
Extremely clean, even on boarding day right after they had just returned from another trip. the ship was always clean and well kept.
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
the cabin was great in terms of set-up but for a balcony it felt a little smaller than other ships I have been on.
Ship tip
I would recommend a lower floor - closer to the main activities on 6,7,and 8. Also I would recommend starboard for the sunsets.
stay in the port unless you have planned excursion. don't consider leaving port if you don't have a plan. it is a very poor country and once outside the port there are many people asking for you to buy something. it isn't really a safe place outside of immediate port.
absolutely beautiful port- one of the nicest I have been too. shopping is pricey and I feel they should include food and drinks since it is private island.
if you get the drink package you shouldn't have to pay anything. I think it was a couple years ago used to be able to bring on cases of water they stopped at now and then we can bring on nothing soda or water which sucks
