The Baltic cruise is excellent and well worth it. The highlight of the cruise includes St. Petersburg Russia, Berlin Germany, as well as Stockholm Sweden.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
The embankment process was easy and efficient. Check in staff was friendly and knowledgeable. We're particularly impressed when we're informed at the check in counter that our flight lost luggage was waiting for us in the state room.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
3 out of 5
The complimentary meals were better than Norwegian Star but far less appetizing than those on other cruise lines like Princess or Celebrity cruises.
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
Physical activities such as rock climbing, rope course, water slides were fun, but the musical and variety shows were lower in quality
Entertainment
3 out of 5
The musical and variety stage shows were at lower production quality and lacked variety.
Service and Staff
4 out of 5
Services in general satisfactory.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
It's a newer ship and all common areas are well maintained and kept clean. The atrium design Is modest and does not appear elegant in statute.
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
The state room is small but well maintained. The room needs a chair and some table space. The TV screen is small and make viewing from sitting in bed difficult. The shower water rate had to be set to low, otherwise water would spill out through the gap at the bottom of the shower door.
Ship tip
I would only sail on this ship if I could get a low cost deal.
It takes 6 hours bus round trip to visit Berlin from the port. A local or ship excursion is highly recommended. A lot to see in Berlin but not enough time to visit them all on an excursion. It's definitely warrants a return visit.
The main attraction on the Baltic cruise with lots to see. The grant palaces and churches are stunning, grand, elegant, and historical, a must see and well worth it excursion.
An independent tour is adequate. Transportation to and from the dock and local areas are convenient. But make sure you asked the local on stops and routes for clarity.
An independent tour that involves a train ride is easy and convenient. A ship or external excursion can be considered but it would be multiple (5x) dollars amount compared to an independent tour.
