You immigration catastrophe was tied to the Azores problem. UK Customs boarded the Jade in Punta Delgado. The customs process was conducted by rota over the two sea days between the Azores & Ireland very efficiently (certainly for EU passport holders), and we literally just walked off the ship in Southampton.
