Review summary

I would not recommend this cruise to anyone or recommend using jet blue as you travel agency. These two together was a joke they made my whole trip awful. NW cruises go to worst ports ever and then try to charge you when you get off. They nickel and dime you every chance they get. The food on the ship was awful as well especially the fine dinning they serve the same menu every night. I'm sticking with carnival good luck.

I agree! Great ship and I am not a fan of Lido deck food but by far better than Carnival and I love Carnival. The Getaway surpassed all our expectations and I can't wait to get on next year. My husband and I are taking the Vista this fall and I am sure it will be amazing. For us when booking we are at the point where we book the ship not the destinations. But very happy to have new ports of call to enjoy. For us, any cruise is a great escape because we aren't working or fighting traffic. #ratherbecruisinganyday

Norwegian getaway was the best ship I've been on, a newer ship with so much to do and so clean and beautiful!

The NCL Getaway was one of the best ships I've been on! If you think Carnival is better than NCL, please do go back to them! We had a lovely time at new ports that we've never visited. We had a beach day with lunch planned in Roatan, spent a fabulous day ashore in Harvest Caye (such a beautiful island), and great times in Mexico, also. I guess a cruise is whatever you make of it. NCL goes out of their way to try to make the cruise grand for you. If you didn't get that from your cruise, I'm not sure what would make you happy. First of all, they nickel and dime their passengers the LEAST of any other cruise line I've cruised, and I've cruised Carnival, RCCL, and Regent. Second, if you were talking about a change of itinerary, that happens all the time. A captain's priority is the safety of his passengers and his ship. Not to ruin your day. Get over it. As for the food, it was always served timely and hot, and we had no complaints concerning the food. Their buffet was honestly the best buffet we ever had at sea, and no other line that I've cruised can come close to what O'Sheehan's offers 24 hours a day! So, if you find fault with one of the best cruise ships at sea, I'm really not sure what it takes to please you. If you are finding fault with the cruise line and the ship, you need to be more specific of the problems, because as I see it, the only problems was your perception of the cruise not meeting your expectations. Good research prior to a cruise would let you know what that ship is all about. An informed cruiser, is a happier cruiser.
