Review summary

I think the Getaway was a really nice ship. Lots of dining choices and things to do. My biggest complaint on this ship would be the service. It seems to me that the ship is understaffed. Every restaurant and bar had too few waiters and bartenders to give any kind of personal service. The waiters and bartenders were not rude or anything like that it's just that there were so few they were very overworked and did not have time to say hello, how are you etc. and you did have to wait longer for drinks and service at the restaurants. It would be nice if they would promote more people to those positions in order to offer a little better service. We usually enjoy talking to the waiters and bartenders to learn a little about them and get to know them. That just seemed really difficult to do on the Getaway.

The ship is very clean and well organized. We had a mini suite and the room was very nice with a really nice bathroom and shower. The entertainment was really good. Burn the Floor and Legally Blond were a lot of fun and different.

Overall the ship is very nice I just prefer a little more service.

Most of the bartenders and waiters just seemed completely overworked and there was not enough staff. They just did not have time to really interact with guests. Christopher, a bartender in the main bar in the reception area was always so cheerful and offered great service. And Francis our waiter at Cagney's Steakhouse was great.

Acabo de llegar del Gateway es mi segunda ves en este Barco, me encanta la libertad en el vestuario, la calidad,de los alimentos,y la confeccion de ellos,el servicio, la limpieza ,es uno de los mejores en lo que estado que han sido alrededor de 20 ,cada Barco tiene algo especial, pero en general es uno de los mejores que salen de Miami.

just got off on Sunday and had the same complaint. waited 20 minutes in the Irish pub without an acknowledgement from our server so we left. at the 80's party the beverage server went to the people next to us about 10 times without glancing our way. I finally asked if we could get a drink. don't know if they gave him big tip previously in the evening or what. the food and entertainment was VERY good.
