Review summary
The ship was nice, the room size good, the bathroom size much better than a lot of ships. Food was very disappointing. Had we not used the Specialty Dining we would have been very bored with the food choices for a week. It didn't seem that the Buffet nor the complimentary dining room menus changed much from day to day. Only way to get the old "formal night" fare of steak and lobster was pay for it! Not real crazy about the "free style dining"; but highly recommend that you make reservations prior to departure for all that you can - that made it nicer, in my opinion, not having to wait in line for dinner, etc.
Entire ship is very casual, no need to really pack much of anything formal. Even in the nicer specialty dining rooms saw super casual. Not the formality of cruises of old for sure.
Our room was Forward on the 8th floor, balcony. SUPER loud on the nights that they had shows in the theatre, directly below us. As long as you're a night owl no worries, but if you were in your room before 11:00 PM - wow!
Recommend the Thermal Spa, was great. Lots of thermal beds and quiet.
They need to fix the smoking areas - too open to other areas. Casino is open to the Atrium and thus all floors attached to the Atrium were smoky. Outside smoking areas were semi-open so couldn't stand to be on that side of the ship on those decks (8 & 15). They need to make all ship non-smoking or close in the areas more.
Sadly didn't get to go to the private island (main reason booked this cruise), due to the major storm that hit the east coast - but the Captain did a great job of keeping us in more calmer seas until we had to head NE to Miami. Would have liked a few more onboard activates however with an additional day at sea.
Comedy guys that were on board were great! Saw them several times - be sure to book those shows in advance too, as they fill up quickly.

Ship tip
Book as much as possible prior to departure for shows, meals, etc. Or do it as soon as you get on board. Their new phone app was pretty good, other than it kept making me re-register for unknown reasons.
