Review summary

We really enjoyed our cruise on the Norwegian Getaway.  There were very few complaints.  The entertainment and food were great and we really appreciated the courtesy provided by the crew.  Very little pressure to buy drinks, photographs or anything else.  Getting on the ship was tedious as we went from line to line.  The breakfast on the final day was less than satisfactory.  But overall, the ship is beautiful, there was plenty to do and the price/value for our suite with a balcony was terrific.

I kept on thinking that the ship should have had more elevators but it really wasn't too bad.

The cabin as well as the steward were perfect.

Ship tip

The main dining rooms, especially the Tropicana, at no extra charge, were great.

We just got home Saturday. Most exciting and fabulous cruise ever! Sorry you're experience was different. We brought our 19 yr old daughter & her fiance. I agree with you that with so many wonderful things for the kids (we enjoyed some of those too & I'm 50, hubby 47), they should have a larger adult area for sure and more comfortable seating at the outside bars like Waves & Spice H2O. Larger area would accommodate more chairs, difficult to find one by the pool. I found the Prime rib special (offered twice) was delectable! Food was better overall than what I remembered cruise food to be. For us, freestyle cruising is the best!! The Ultimate Beverage pkg was well worth it! Bring a case of bottled water, worth it! You could take food and meals back to your cabin, which was wonderful! We had balcony port side near aft. I felt vibrations also, not bad. They needed padding in the inside of the closet and against back wall to curb loud sounds of the hangers banging back & forth all night. However, is understandable since we were in the hurricane for a day! Pretty exciting for this geoscience girl! Lol. Capt kept us safe though & we had the CEO & President Andy Stuart onboard with us! Missed Nassau, but were compensated. Anxious to try their newest ship. ;)
