Traveling with 9 other family members. Embarkation easy and Uneventful. Room steward adiquate at best, slow to turn over room and restock items like coffee,or minibar,or bottled water. No personality. We (as a couple) pre-paid for the specialty dining. Yet we could not be seated (looking at empty tables mind you) being told they were reserving tables for the busiest times ???. What advantage was there to pre-paying? It did not get you a table. Food in the specialty restaurant and buffet was spectacular however the food and service in the two main dining rooms were subpar. We attempted to resolve the dining issue and a Internet issue (which I paid for and didn't work) with the customer service desk and were dismissed and no resilution offered. We enjoyed the pool activities although crowded and the mohito tasting was a blast. We did feel l8ke we were nickeled and dimed at every oppertunity. Be sure and budget for the additional costs. Debarkation in Miami was fast, and efficient.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
3 out of 5
Main dining rooms left a bit to be desired with the service, food often Luke warm and meals often incomplete on the plate. Specialty restraunts hard to get seated even when prepaid.

Entertainment

Children's Programs

My nieces loved the "splash academy " it was safe and well managed.
Service and Staff
3 out of 5
Customer support staff unwilling to be helpful and dismissive. Specialty wait staff great as well as the bar staff and the activities personal, room steward needed a personality, just sayn. ...
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
Beware of the strong stale cigarette smoke and smell at the casino. It wouldn't have been a bother except you have to traverse thru the casino to go fore or aft on that deck.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Nice size except balcony was suprisenly small. Great bed, in room coffee, nice touches like USB outlets, clothesline in shower for swimsuit. One FYI is that nothing in the cabin works unless your room key is in the designated slot. This includes air conditioning. So if you wanted to come back to a cool cabin you couldn't. Also note if the balcony door was open, your air shut off automatically, so if you wanted to sleep with the balcony door open to listen to the ocean at night it got hot. Overall the room was pretty good.
Ship tip
Best to pay as much as you can before leaving, speciality dining, shore excursions ect. Specialty dining needs to be planned out an reservation for each seating are recommended especially if your tring to catch a show. Be aware of hidden costs above the 12 dollar a day manditory gratituity.
4 other ship's in port at the same time. Every one wants a cab, water taxi ect. It can take an hour or more in line. Plan your timing and activities if you can after the big rush.
Wonderful island. Transportation well organized and the flow of people unobtrusive. Got a local tour guide (not ship excursion ) we were shown a fantastic time and saw the whole island and had a nice seaside lunch
Skip it. Agressive panhandling. Agressive sales people. Dirty, felt unsafe, taxi and public transportation sketchy at best. The push is for you to go to Atlantis, very expensive and the only real attraction. A bit of a scam
Thanks for posting your first review here. It was nice to know that the ship was great but unfortunately, the service and the MDR food were not. I hope that your next cruise meets your expectations.
