Review summary

The boat activities for the kids were the best I've seen with the 5 water slides, rock wall, rope course, bungie thing etc,  The pools are terribly small and dangerously over crowded.  If you have kids you are banished to the "kid side." The Adult side is so smokey and packed. The deck of the pool was so slippery, we saw 12 people slip and fall on the first day.  The poolside seating is tight and if you don't get up early, good luck getting a good seat.  The smoke was thick throughout the boat.  Condensed in the casino then dispersed throughout the halls, but always there.  The entertainment was ok but hard to secure.  The  magic show was for an additional cost, seating was very limited and we were left with only banquet seating that cost more than floor seating and the view is far worse.  The comedy shows might have been good, but we were unable to attend ANY due to small venue and the seating was not available.  Definitely reserve anything you wish to do far in advance. Service was good.  There were a few indignate bartenders, but nothing severe.  Royal Caribean definitely does a better job with entertainment, and food.  And of course Disney does a better job of everything.  NCL Getaway is a very US, Them kind of ship.  Adult activities don't connect with kid activities outside of the sports deck.

Nothing Fabulous, but at least I didn't have to cook it.

Ship Quality

Best ship Ever

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The room was nice and roomier than others we have had. Storage and organization is always a challenge.

Ship tip

Plan ahead, book or reserve everything before you leave home.

Ports of call

Miami, Florida

Plenty of close covered parking at a reasonable fee. $20\day

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

The excursions were short 3-4.5 hours. The cab rides were dangerous and scary.

Tortola, British Virgin Islands

The journet to Devils Den to snorkle was insane. 45 minutes by boat, 15 minutes by car, and 10 minute walk down a steep hill. Nice place to see, but barely worth the trip on such a tight schedule.

Nassau, Bahamas

Atlantis is the thing to do, but for $675, no food, no drink and no transportation, we passed on it.
