Review summary

Overall it was a great cruise to see places we've never been to.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Embarkation went very smooth with no issues.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We ate at Cagneys twice which was very good and other than that we ate all our other dinners in the MDR (Magenta). All our meals were very good and service was equally as good.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5

Spa

5 out of 5

The spa was great and relaxing as we each got two massages. Excellent staff!

Entertainment

5 out of 5
We saw the magician Greg Gleason four times and thought he was very entertaining and talented. We also saw two of the shows which we high energy and also entertaining.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Can't say enough positives about the staff. Everyone we encountered were friendly. A very special shout out to Dang who is the bartender at the Beer and Whiskey Bar (Maltings). He was friendly, funny, and knowledgeable about alcohol.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Ship was clean.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
A cruise ship cabin is a cruise ship cabin. We were on deck ten forward away from the elevators and stairs so it was quiet.

Ship tip

It's a smaller ship compared to what is being built today, however it still has charm and will give you an enjoyable vacation.

Ports of call

Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island

4 out of 5
We did the Ann of Green Gables tour.

Bar Harbor, Maine

5 out of 5
Really nice port and walked around downtown. We then did a tour through Acadia National Park.

Sydney, Nova Scotia

5 out of 5
We did the Spirit of the Fiddle and they were an excellent talented trio.

Halifax, Nova Scotia

5 out of 5
We did a tour to Peggy's Cove and the Titanic Gravesite. At the end of the tour our tour guide gave us passes for admission to the maritime museum which was fantastic. The museum had a section dedicated to WWII convoys and another section dedicated to the Titanic and an actual deck chair from the ship. The museum is a half hour walk back to the ship.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
As we all know that disembarkation is disembarkation. Just make the best of it and wait for your turn to get off.

Thank you for your review. We are sailing this itinerary in Fall 2025. Glad they are still stopping in Bar Harbor. I’ve heard that the city voted to stop cruise ships. Fingers crossed that they honor existing schedules when we go next year. Very interested in seeing Acadia National Park.
