We love the staff on the Gem, Joel Casalla , Noel, Ali,and Bayu at the bar upstairs outdoor are amazing, very polite, hard workers, we tip cash to everyone, Elphy my room maker was such a lovely person, Ernesto Hernandez Matute helped me multiple times, love this guy . Can’t wait to get back on the Gem

For the cabin that you were in on the NCL Gem, do you happen to remember if there were any power outlets on either side of the bed? If not, how many outlets were there and where were they located?

you sound just like us. Our first cruise was on the Gem (2004) and its still our go-to ship. Alas its not sailing out of NY anymore, so this fall we will try the Norwegian Prima, I hope its even half as good as the Gem. We tried the Breakaway once, never again. The only ship that rivaled the Gem was Cunard's QE2, I dare say surpassed it. That is the only one though and we have tried at least 5 different cruise lines.

Great review! Thanks for sharing! My first cruise was w/ Carnival. My 2nd cruise was w/ NCL on The GEM & loved it, sealed the deal for me & now Platinum level. Just got back from Bermuda on The JOY & it was amazing!! Totally love it!! Glad you do too!! Happy cruising 🤩⚓️😎❣️‼️
