Review summary

Great vibe. Everyone I met was happy and were having a good time. I made friends with 8 amazing people and we've decided to book a reunion cruise together. Amazing staff who immediately learned everyone's names, recognized us, and made us feel special every time. It isn't a surprise that so many people decided to stay on and cruise another week.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
This was the fastest embarkation in my entire cruising history! It took exactly 7 minutes from bag dropoff to entering the ship.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
As always on NCL, the food choices were plentiful and very good.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
All were pretty good but the pool should have been heated because all days except the 2 where we sailed the Bahamas were very cold and windy days and the pools were icy cold.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
I would have given the entertainment 5 stars, because it was great, however, there should have been some backup entertainment - one of the days where there was scheduled all day music on the pool deck, but it was too windy so it was cancelled. I, along with many others, were disappointed that the music wasn't moved to another venue. 10 stars to the band, B12, which was outstanding! Their parties every night were fabulous! (which is why we were all so disappointed that they were cancelled on that windy sea day).

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
They deserve 10 stars! Loved the 3 singing servers at breakfast! Adorable! Really put a smile on my face. Great way to start the day.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Cleanliness was 5 stars - NCL is on top of the game maintaining cleanliness. The ship's design wasn't my favorite, however. Always a bit difficult walking back and forth between decks because there really isn't one direct path anywhere. But it made for extra steps and exercise so I could eat without guilt!

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
For an inside cabin, it was fine. Small, of course, so I woudn't recommend it for more than 1 person, but as a solo traveler I had plenty of room for everything. I must say it was quiet and close to the elevators & stairs, so not bad at all.

Ship tip

The ship is fine, but it shouldn't be used for cold ports since it has no indoor/covered or heated pool.

Ports of call

New York, New York

5 out of 5
Always fascinating & so much to do.

Royal Naval Dockyard, West End, Bermuda

3 out of 5
Not really much to do or see here. The closest beach is pretty but it was too cold. This should not be a port to stop at during cold months.

Nassau, Bahamas

4 out of 5
Nassau is fine. Just gets overwhelming trying to fight off all the vendors.

Great Stirrup Cay (Cruise Line Private Island), Bahamas

5 out of 5
This port should be extended to 2-3 days. This was the most perfect location. Great beach, with everything you need: lounge chairs, umbrellas, water sports equipment, clean restrooms & showers, food, drink, palm trees and of course, great weather.

Port Canaveral, Florida

2 out of 5
Everything worthwhile doing is way too far and Cocoa Beach is horrible! - dirty, no bathrooms, no chairs, no palm trees...nothing! We sat on our towels for a bit and went back to the ship. Cape Canaveral is interesting but you need a lot of time to fully enjoy it. The Disney parks are way too far and expensive. On a caribbean cruise, Port Canaveral should be left off the itinerary.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Just like embarkation, it was super smooth, quick, easy.
