The Norwegian GEM was a great ship and the staff were amazing!!! We got to know various members of the staff from bartenders, to wait staff, to the steward and cruise director assistant. Even got to talk to the Captain during a session which was very entertaining.

This cabin was perfect for two people to share and the balcony was used quite often.
Ship tip
The 11th deck was the best place to be and amidship. All tendering is done from amidships so being able to just walk down the stairs was very convenient.
By far our favorite port from what we saw. Be warned that the line to get to the top of the hill on the gondola is quite long and was expected to be 90+ minutes. We opted to ride the donkeys to the top - 30 minutes - five minute wait in line and a 25 minute donkey ride. A must do!!
Once again with PA, one of the first off, small area for bag pick-up. From when we left our stateroom to being on the bus to take us to Trieste center was less than 10 minutes.
