Review summary

-Ship was clean, staff very pleasant -Food and drinks were all very good. -Free wifi (75) mins is a joke! After paying for additional time it took 2 days to get it working on 2 devices. Wifi was not good at all. After the “free” 75 mins flys by, they will offer you another 75 mins for 100.00. Scroll down…. They then offer unlimited for 129.00 for the rest of the trip!!! -People turning their kids loose on the boat, Another Joke! -Everything is an up charge check your cabin charges daily! You will be surprised when they charge you to clean your cabin at 18.00 PER PERSON. Go complain before the last day or you will be in a mile long line. They did refund our cabin charge. -Norfolk VA, why bother, been better just cruising around, at least the Casino would have been open. -Duty Free shopping onboard? Waste of money. Not worth the paperwork you need to fill out when you get back. They charge retail plus for everything. Nothing is “reasonably priced”. Everything is marked up to full price. - It’s not enjoyable knowing you paid thousands upfront to then be charged additional for a bunch of things you “thought” should be included….. read the FINE print!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Food was good and there was plenty of it. Everything was very clean and sanitary.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
There were a lot of families on the trip. All fine and good but many people just let their kids run wild. Not relaxing for other adults to have kids running around, screaming, cutting lines, taking up all the hot tubs. No adult supervision. Casino and one other venue were kid free but only during certain times. Parents bring their kids, cut them loose on a ship and then go sit at the bars and drink!

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Went to a musical from the 70’s, 80’s. Was great.

Children's Programs

I would never bring a child on a cruise….

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Everyone was pleasant and courteous. Very hard working staff.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
I saw no issues with anything on the ship.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
Cabin was very clean, sink and shower drains were very slow draining. Took 3 days to get them cleaned out and then the maintenance staff dumped the mess into our trash can. TV in room was a joke. More like a computer monitor, very small. You had to pay 10.00 for a movie. Nothing else to watch. Very minimal selection of “free” channels.

Ship tip

Everything is up charged. You will get billed for daily room maintenance at 18.00 PER PERSON! The is nothing that is not up charged. Wifi 75 “free” mins is gone the first day unless you turn off your phone. Then they slam you on an “up charge” to get wifi. How else can you possibly keep in touch with members of your party without it. Cost me an additional 129.00 to have wifi for texting on 2 devices. EVERYTHING is going to cost you more once you are on the ship… things not discussed by booking agents.

Ports of call

New York, New York Did not visit port

Why bother??? Go out overnight, go to Norfolk which takes FOREVER to get too. Once you pass the Chesapeake bay bridge tunnel it’s a 2 hour trip up the river. Small little dock area, next to the naval museum and battleship Wisconsin. Then when you get off you can go to an aquarium or the museum or wander aimlessly around downtown Norfolk. Then when you get back on, you have to be CoVid tested AGAIN!

Royal Naval Dockyard, West End, Bermuda

Was a nice day, warm temperatures. Easy to walk to historic and shopping areas. If you want to see anything else you pay to get on a ferry or bus. No big deal if that what you want to do. DO NOT BOOK AN EXCURSION ON THE SHIP FOR A FERRY TRIP TO HAMILTON! Cost on the ship 99.00. If you walk off the boat, go to the ferry terminal yourself it’s 18.00 round trip. NOTE: If you book there over priced excursion the ship won’t leave you behind if you are late. SET YOUR WATCH correctly and save a lot of money.

Take your own luggage off. You are the first off the ship. If not you will get color coded tags and will leave in the order they call for the color of the bands. We were off in 10 mins by taking our own luggage off. Once on the pier it was 15 mins and we were in our car leaving.
