Review summary

Very pleased with The Gem. Just the right size. Great crew. The Garden Orchid restaurant was an unexpected surprise. Very good. Lots of movement in MDR Pacific. MDR Magenta much smoother. And — although the Gem does not have a dedicated Haven restaurant, they serve breakfast and lunch in the Haven courtyard / pool area. Very peaceful indeed. Was my first time in Haven — well worth the money.

My test from CVS (taken two days prior) did not come through in time. The testing at the pier was excellent and I had my results in about 4 minutes. Even though I had to pay for it, I’d do it again. So much easier.

Beautiful cabin. Gorgeous bathroom. Caveat: the basketball court is not far — but I only heard it while on the balcony. Would choose a different room next time.

Ship tip

If you’re going to Bermuda, there is a free NCL ferry to St George. We didn’t know it existed until we got off the ship and there it was.
